Welcome to the Unitarian Church in Altrincham, Cheshire.

We love men and women, men who love men and women who love women. We’re an inclusive, Unitarian church, where faith and love know no norms or boundaries. We welcome people, not religions.

We welcome young people in our community and help them discover and embrace their spirituality and identity. As a nonconventional Unitarian church, we understand the spiritual concerns young people might have regarding faith.

We appreciate, respect and admire today’s youth for standing up for their own opinions and beliefs and think that young members would be a great asset in the growth of our community!

We are progressive

As a progressive Unitarian church in Altrincham, Cheshire, we were the first church to welcome female ministers, because we believe that faith and love should be available and accessible to everyone.

We were also the first ones to allow divorcees of any faith to get married. We strongly support everyone who wants a second chance to live a happy life with the person they choose to.

We are one of UK’s first LGBT-friendly churches and have pioneered in same-sex marriages and ceremonies in Cheshire, Manchester and the North West. Our Unitarian church firmly believes in the importance to choose the person you love and take part in this beautiful tradition that brings people together for life, whether that’s a wedding or a civil partnership. We urge couples to have faith and commitment to each other above anything else and praise their freedom to express their love and desire for a union in a way they choose.
