Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the online purchase of goods or services from the General Assembly of Unitarian Churches (the GA). Services include the online booking of events. Please print a copy of these terms and conditions for your future reference.

Our contract

If you place an order online to purchase a product or service from the GA you will be sent an e-mail confirming receipt of your order that contains the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to the GA to purchase a product or service. This offer is accepted by the GA when the product is delivered to you or when you attend the event or use the service. You warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years old.

Description of the Goods and Services

The GA will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products or services appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. The GA reserves the right to refuse orders where product or service information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.

Availability

The supply of goods or services from this website is subject to availability and it is not always possible for us to inform you at the time you place your order whether the goods or services you want are still available for purchase. In the case of the goods or services not being available a refund will be given.

Delivery of goods

Delivery charges for goods will be explicitly stated. The GA aim to dispatch all goods within three working days of your order being received.

Customs Fees & Charges for Overseas Delivery

Orders that are shipped overseas may be subject to custom duties, and these are not included in the purchase price. As the buyer, you’re responsible for these charges – unfortunately the GA has no control over them and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. If you’d like any further information, you should contact your local customs office.

Cancellation and Return of goods

The GA offers a 21-day returns policy (or 31 days for overseas returns). This time period begins from the date you received the goods. If you contact us outside of the 21-day period the GA will not refund the order (unless it was received defective or damaged). All unwanted goods should be returned in a re-saleable condition. This does not affect your statutory rights. For more information on your statutory rights please visit Consumer Direct website.

When you send items back the GA will process the returned item and offer you the choice of a replacement or a refund.

If you request a refund the GA will refund the full price of the goods, including any mandatory delivery charges incurred.

You will receive notification via e-mail of your refund.

To contact the GA about returns or to make a complaint please contact us.

When submitting your order you are agreeing to the purchase of goods or services and to allowing the GA to use your personal data for the purpose of supplying the goods or services.

Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions

The GA reserve the right to make changes to its website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Purchase at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of Purchase in force at the time that you use the website to order goods or services.
